Welcome to J.R. Resort! The resort is owned by Troy and Michelle Davis. Our Resort is located on the southwest shore of Higgins Lake. There is lots to do for the kids, we're a great family resort! Our resort has 6 rental cottages, 118 feet of beautiful sandy beach and two docks.
Our rental rates are as follows per week:
Lake Front Cottage: $1925 ($275 per night) ..this is our summer rate. $225 per night after Labor Day.
White House: $1575
Fisher Place: $1575
Pingreee Cottage: $1375
Cleveland Cottage: $1275
Duplex Cottage North Side: $975
Duplex Cottage South Side: $975
Beach, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, docks, swim rafts, sailboat: FREE!
All Cottages have Free WIFI and Cable TV on nice flat screen tv's! Interior photos available upon request!

Please note we collect a 6% Use Tax for the State of Michigan on all rentals. We also have no cleaning fees.

(Above Photo) The Lake Front Cottage is right on the water. The Lake is your entire view with this cottage, great views and great sunsets. Campfires at the Lake Front are also fun. The Lake Front has two bedrooms, each with a full size bed. The living room has a twin trundle (two twins). The kitchen is complete and the bath room has a shower. On the outside you have a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table, deck and lawn chairs. The Lake Front is one of the most affordable cottages on the lake and rents for $1925 per week ($275 per night). Below is an updated photo of the exterior of the Lake Front.
(Above Photo) The White House Cottage is a very nice cottage. On the inside there are two bedrooms; one with a full size bed the other with a queen. The kitchen is open to the living room and makes a very nice area. The living room has a twin sofa sleeper and twin rollaway bed. The kitchen is complete and the bathroom has a shower. On the outside the White House has a very nice overhang front porch with a view down to the beach as well a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table, deck on the side of the house and lawn chairs. The White House is only 4 houses from our beach and two docks and rents for $1475 per week.
(Above Photo) The Cleveland Cottage Cottage has two bedrooms, each with queen size beds. The kitchen is complete and open to the living room. The living room has a full size futon. On the the outside the Cleveland Cottage has a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table and lawn chairs. The Cleveland Cottage rents for $1375 per week and is only 4 houses from our beach and two docks.
(Above Photo) The Fisher Place Cottage sits on our nicest yard - over and acre and half of tall oak trees and lawn, it's very private. If you have children who like a big yard and you like privacy this is the cottage. The yard also has a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table as well as lawn chairs. On the inside The Fisher Place has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed the other with two bunk beds. The kitchen is complete and open to the living room and as with all of our cottages you have cable tv. The Fisher Place rents for $1475 per week and is only 4 houses from our beach and two docks.
Above Photo: The North Side Duplex: The North Side Duplex has a small kitchen that is complete and open to the living room area and kitchen table. The living room also has a full size sofa sleeper, the bedroom has a queen size bed. So to recap the sleeping accommodations: the bedroom has a queen size bed, the living room a full size hide-a-bed. The bathroom has a stand up shower. On the outside the cottage has a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table and lawn chairs. The North side Duplex rents for $1075 for a one week stay and is only 4 houses from our beach and two docks. This is one of the best values at Higgins Lake! The North Side Duplex also has WiFi as well as cable tv. This is less expensive than a hotel room and you get a fully furnished cottage, beach and the 6th most beautiful lake in the world....for less than a hotel!
(Above Photo) The South Side Duplex: The South Side Duplex has a small kitchen that is complete and is open to the living room area and kitchen table. The living room also has a full size sofa sleeper, the bedroom has a queen size bed. So to recap the sleeping accommodations: the bedroom has a queen size bed, the living room has a full size hide-a-bed. The bathroom has a standup shower. On the outside the cottage has a firepit, charcoal grill, picnic table and lawn chairs. The South Side Duplex rents for $1075 for a one week stay and is only 4 houses from our beach and two docks. This is one of the best values at Higgins Lake! The South Side Duplex also has WiFi as well as cable tv. This is less expensive than a hotel room and you get a fully furnished cottage, a beach and the 6th most beautiful lake in the world....for less than a hotel!
(Above Photo) The Pingree Cottage is very nice. It sits on a beautiful wooded lot. The kitchen is open to the living room with the living room having a fireplace. The Pingree has two bedrooms, on with a queen size bed, the other with two twins (bunk bed) and a twin single. The Pingree is fully furnished and on the outside you have a picnic table as well as a fire pit, charcoal grill as well as lawn chairs. The rents for $1475 per week.
Higgins Lake is stunningly great! We offer canoes, kayaks and paddle boats at no cost to our guests. And don't forget our sailboat (a tree fort on water).
